Our Savior Lutheran Church in Northwest Houston

Our Savior Lutheran Church is a confessional congregation of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod (LCMS). For over 60 years, we have taught that among God's people learning is drawn from the clear truth of God's eternal Word, the Bible. Our focus is on the cross where our savior Jesus Christ died so that we might live with him here and in eternity.

A Word from God's Word . . .

Aug. 30 – “A fool takes no pleasure in understanding, but only in expressing his opinion.” (Prov. 18:2 – ESV) Have you noticed how many times the Book of Proverbs speaks of “fools”? Some things never seem to change.

Aug. 31 – “The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous man runs into it and is safe.” (Prov. 18:10 – ESV) This is the mark of a wise man!

Sept. 1 – “If one gives an answer before he hears, it is his folly and shame.” (Prov. 18:13 – ESV) Don’t make a judgment before hearing the facts.

Sept. 2 – “An intelligent heart acquires knowledge, and the ear of the wise seeks knowledge.” (Prov. 18:15 – ESV) Proverbs also speaks of wisdom and intelligence. Folly or wisdom – you have a choice!

Sept. 3 – “A man of many companions may come to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.” (Prov. 18:24 – ESV) A Friend you can always count on is Jesus!
