Adult Bible Class
Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another - Proverbs 27:17
Our Savior Lutheran Church offers a wide variety of adult Bible classes both before and after worship on Sundays. Please join us in one of the many classes offered below. There will be fresh coffee and a variety of fresh donuts and kolaches to enjoy. It is our prayer for you that these Bible studies will strengthen your faith and you will go home knowing you are secure in your faith. Blessings.
"Christian Apologitecs" Using the book Christian Confidence: An Introduction to Defending the Faith by Chris Sinkinson, the class is guided in how to confidently speak the truth and defend the faith to an increasingly unbelieving world. (Pastor White - Bible Class Room)
"First Corinthians - The Challenge of Consistent Christian Living in a Sinful World" Join us to discuss the kind of issues which confront every Christian today. (Pastor White - Bible Class Room) Click here to download the notes in PDF (which is a work in progress) 72 MB.
"A Christian Family in Today's World" This discussion-oriented class reviews the three lessons from the preceding Sunday’s service and applies them to the challenges which confront parents and families every day. The emphasis is on the application of Bible truth in a way that will strengthen and renew the participant’s faith. (Dana Gerard, B109)
"Lutheran Confessions" Our Lutheran Confessions were developed out of a genuine concern with false teachings obscuring the glory and merit of our Savior. These unconditional affirmations are as understandable and poignant today as when they were written. Learn their history and development, as well as their relevance in the daily life of a Christian. Through discussion, you will see how others are asking the same questions and how Scripture offers solid, reliable answers. (James Kriegel, C101)
"Bethel Bible Series" Survey the entire Old Testament through the renowned Bethel Bible Series. (Herb Peterson, C102)
"Women's Bible Study" We are currently reading and discussing the book of Genesis. Through prayer and supplication, we strengthen each other in our spiritual lives. (Merri Schoppe, Family Room, Church)
"Applying Scripture to Current Events" (College/Young Professionals Class) This class for young adults will focus on today’s headlines and current events and discuss these topics in light of scripture and how the verses covered each week apply to everyday life. (Stephen Schoppe, Adam White, C106)
"The History & Letters of St. Paul" Although written for specific people in specific places, Paul's letters convey eternal truths of hope and salvation. We will explore the messages and histories of Paul's thirteen letters. (Dr. Karl Baughman, C114, Classroom Building)
