Standing Firm in Christ

50 Nicodemus, who had gone to him before, and who was one of them, said to them, 51 “Does our law judge a man without first giving him a hearing and learning what he does?” 52 They replied, “Are you from Galilee too? Search and see that no prophet arises from Galilee.”
John 7:50-52

Standing Firm in Christ
Nicodemus once came to Jesus by night, seeking truth in secret. Later, when the Pharisees raged against Jesus, Nicodemus cautiously spoke up: “Does our law judge a man without first giving him a hearing?” Though small, this defense shows how faith, once planted, begins to grow. Nicodemus’s words reveal the Spirit’s work, even when fear and weakness remain. So it is with us. We may hesitate to confess Christ boldly, especially when the world mocks and pressures us. Yet Christ stood boldly for us on the cross, bearing our sins though the crowd condemned Him. Our salvation rests not on the strength of our witness but on the strength of His sacrifice. Take heart: the crucified and risen Lord strengthens weak voices, forgives timid hearts, and calls us to stand firm in His saving truth.
