Separated
Therefore remember that at one time you Gentiles in the flesh, called “the uncircumcision” by what is called the circumcision, which is made in the flesh by hands—remember that you were at that time separated from Christ, alienated from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world.

Separated
Apart from faith there is no fellowship with God. All have fallen short of the glory of God and have sinned. You and me included. We will sin again. Without faith, without the intervention of the Holy Spirit in our lives, we were dead to God and we lived in and for our sins. We were strangers and aliens to God. But, now has God come to rescue us and bring us back into his fellowship. He has given us life by the death of Jesus. He has made us right with God by his resurrection. Thanks be to God for his intervention and rescue. He bought us back from our impending doom with his precious blood.
