A True Testimony
35 He who saw it has borne witness—his testimony is true, and he knows that he is telling the truth—that you also may believe. 36 For these things took place that the Scripture might be fulfilled: “Not one of his bones will be broken.” 37 And again another Scripture says, “They will look on him whom they have pierced.”

A True Testimony
That which he saw, he proclaims to you. This Jesus, who is God, died to pay for your sins. He took your place to rescue you from the perils of an eternal death. He would have you back as his own, so he goes all the way to death and the grave to have you. He goes to the midst of the battle field and fells the devil to rescue you. It was long told by God's holy prophets. Every Word is kept. Every promised fulfilled. One will be born of the woman who crushes the head of the serpent. Jesus is that One. Indeed, John testifies so that you may believe. We hang on this Word. It is our life and our light. This Word is our salvation. All things may break down and fall apart. Rust and moth destroy, but the Word of the Lord remains forever. You can count on it in all things. The Lord is faithful.
