But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ.

Brought Near
There was no way you would have been able to travel the distance to our God. Neither would we have wanted to do so. We were aliens and enemies to our God. We wanted nothing to do with him. But we who were far off have been brought near. The promises of God's love in Jesus Christ are for all people, for those who are near and those who are far off. The promises of God are only realized in Jesus Christ. They are only applied by Jesus' blood. They are only received by the work of the Holy Spirit. Have no fear, the Holy Spirit has made your heart his temple.
