To and Fro
So that we may no longer be children, tossed to and fro by the waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by human cunning, by craftiness in deceitful schemes.

To and Fro
God wants us to have faith like a child, but not to be tossed to and fro like little children. He wants us to fear, love, and trust in him above all things, but he doesn't want us carried along by all kinds of false teachings and immoral actions. He wants you to have the pure Word that he delivers to you to preserve you and keep you in Jesus alone. The world will try its hardest to carry you away with deceitful schemes. Your sinful nature will be intrigued by every wind of doctrine... but hold fast to the Word of God and his true gifts to you. No longer are you children, you have the full measure of grace that Christ has measured out for you. He has saved you by his own blood and death. You belong to him.
